The IAFD Quality Standard was developed to define the standards that are expected of all of our members. In 2023 we updated the Quality Standard to bring it in line with the European Standard for Funeral Services. After extensive research and discussion, it was agreed to implement a new system for ensuring that IAFD members are operating their business in line with the Quality Standard.
An independent auditing company - Meany Management Systems (MMS) - was engaged and assisted IAFD in designing the new system which, includes this audit.
The audit will help you to make your business better and be more prepared if and when regulation occurs. IAFD are not a governing body but we are closely watching the how the recent regulation in the UK & NI is changing the dynamic there and that's why we're encouraging our members to be ready
